We are currently looking for an additional time served agricultural service engineer to join our team, covering the Angus area from our Forfar depot. You will be working alongside existing Agricultural Engineers, maintaining and repairing Grimme Potato Equipment and all relative machinery, both in the workshop and on site as required.

The suitable candidate will have to be conscientious, enthusiastic and have good time keeping skills and a clean driving licence. You need to be able to multi task, work well within a team environment, and be able to work overtime as and when required.

We require an Apprentice Service Engineer, based at our Perth Depot. You will be working alongside existing Agricultural Engineers covering Perthshire, assisting with repairs and maintenance to New Holland Tractors and all relative products.


This apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to earn a wage and work full time. This means you develop your skills in a real working environment from day one and are able to put the skills you learn through our apprenticeship scheme directly into practice at work.


Job Details:

·         Carry out supervised repairs and maintenance of equipment

·         Reporting back to suitable staff any parts required for order

·         Provide support to other members of your team with day to day procedures and requirements

·         Installation of operating systems and applications to customer specifications after you have received the appropriate training

·         Carry out all duties associated with your position

·         Take instruction and carry out tasks to the best of your ability

·         Good time-keeping

·         Strong communication skills

·         The primary skills required to be a successful apprentice will be an eagerness to learn, have an interest and aptitude for agriculture and agricultural machinery

·         Ability to work under pressure, multitask and organise priorities.

·         Ability to take ownership of issues and work to tight timescales.

·         Willingness to be flexible with working hours and to work paid over time when required

·         Needs to be able to work within a team environment

·         Previous service engineering experience isn’t needed as training will be given but the ideal candidate needs to be proactive and committed to work


Apprenticeship Duration: After successful completion of a three month trial period, and after completion of one year continuous service, the candidate will be enrolled within our New Holland Apprenticeship Scheme in order to advance their skills and understanding. Apprenticeships are available for anyone over 16 years of age.

Future Prospects:

After successfully completing a 4 year Apprenticeship, you will be a time served Agricultural Service Engineer.  Any opportunity to advance within the company as an Agricultural Engineer will be discussed on an individual basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrician or Approved Electrician to join our long established Electrical contracting business. This is a permanent position for the correct person, working mostly in the Angus area, so staying locally is a priority.

The successful applicant will be qualified to the current edition of the wiring regulations and be competent in Inspection and Testing as well as all other aspects of Electrical contracting.
